The PGVFD Service Area experienced for the second time this year another 100 year rain event. This time more of the Pecan Grove subdivision took part in the flooding situation. Several homes received damage this time around. The PGVFD firefighters responded to one automatic alarm, 2 water rescues and one downed tree. The biggest amount of time for your firefighters was spent directing traffic around flooded streets. Plantation Drive at Bittersweet's flooding lasted until 10:00 am, three hours after the rain stopped. Vehicles had to be towed after the waters receeded. No injuries were reported.
FireBall Classic Golf Tournament took to the challenging Pecan Grove Country Club course today. Nine teams enjoyed the beautiful day of golf.
1st Place Team: Dave Nesbitt, Dave Griffin, Nando Olson, Chris Sparkman
